“Mom, sometimes they just freeze.” I work at a job that gives you a cruel reality check everyday. Is it wise to use things I see as a life lessons for my teenagers? I was driving with my daughter and I decided to share an incident. Without going into details, I told her, (A) don’t go into a secluded room with a boy, (B) Don’t let what he says cloud your judgement, (C) if he tries to pull some crap and touches you, use your voice, fist, and fingernails. So… my daughter being sometimes a voice of reason and a protector of all, tells me “Mom sometimes the girls just freeze.” I said, “your right, but they don’t have to. ” and FYI do not eat gummy candy offered to you on the bus!!!!
